TIKKA TO RIDE
At the beginning of the episode, Lister explains the paradox which prevented them from being destroyed by their future selves. The log camera he is speaking to can not cope with the paradox and blows up. They all agree never to use the time drive again. However, all of Lister's curry supplies have been destroyed and with the help of Kryten's spare head #2, convinces the crew to go back in time on a curry hunt.
Unfortunately instead of the Taj Mahal, they end up in Dallas in November of 1963 and interfere with the assasination of President Kennedy. Due to their interference, Kennedy survives, but this leads the world to the brink of nuclear war. Eventually they agree that to restore history, one of them must assassinate the president. Nobody wants to do it, but Lister has a plan. Going forward in time a few years, he meets Kennedy in the back of his prison car and convinces him to be a second gunman and assassinate himself to restore his place in history. Kennedy agrees and becomes "the gunman behind the grassy knoll". After Kennedy has done it and disappears, Lister complains that he forgot to ask if there were any curry houses in Dallas. The episode ends appropriately, with the crew giving Lister the beating that he deserved.
